  • Public and Trade users can book online tickets. Public users pay online through credit cards to confirm their bookings, while trade users have credit facilities and can't make online payments.

  • The system guide and direct users through their booking process, this can be done through a seat suggestion component that will propose seats based on preset criteria and rules. Users can only book the seats suggested by the system.

  • Users can maintain their profiles and can have access to their transactional history.

  • Users can temporary select tickets into a simple shopping cart.

  • The system is transaction oriented. A transaction may be composed of multiple seat bookings and merchandise.

  • The system administrator can edit transactions, adding or cancelling bookings.

  • Public users can have an SMS confirmation code sent to them, transactions can only be completed after the confirmation code is validated through the system.

  • Users can easily cancel their bookings. The system can automatically cancel unconfirmed bookings also system applies a cancellation refund policy.

  • All system users can be authenticated, prior to system usage; permissions will be assigned to users, based on their type.

  • The system allows users to keep track of transactions.

  • The system can easily integrate with the printer through sending an XML file including transaction details. The application can translate transaction details from XML to printer specific script is out of the scope of the current project.
